"This aerial panorama of New York City features a view of Manhattan looking south over Central Park. Founded in 1853 and opened to the public in 1859, the park was the first urban, landscaped recreation area in the United States. At the south end of the park are some of New York's newest and most extraordinary structures, the supertall residential skyscrapers known as "Billionaires' Row." Further south, more traditional landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building persist as reminders of the engineering triumphs of the 20th Century. At the tip of Manhattan Island, One World Trade Center can be witnessed, standing purposely at 1,776 feet, to honour its native country."
