Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah | Framed Panorama Photo Panoramic Park Picture DHP1
from $123.90
This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, captures one of the most photographed vistas in the world, a spectacular sight at Dead Horse Point State Park located at the end of a mesa 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. According to legend, this high promontory of land received its name because of its use by cowboys in the late 1800's, to chase wild mustangs onto Dead Horse Point using the narrow neck to block off the natural corral. Millions of years of geologic activity created the breathtaking views of this Park, which is situated in south central Utah at an elevation of about 6,000 feet above sea level and encompasses 5,362 acres of high desert.
