Grand Prismatic Spring, located in the area known as Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, is the park's largest hot spring and the third largest in the world. It measures nearly 370 feet in diameter, longer than a football field, and is over 121 feet deep. The orange, yellow and green bands visible in the photo, which circle the deep blue waters in the spring, are created by fragile heat-loving thermophile bacteria. As the perimeter water in the spring cools, it creates an ideal environment for the colorful bacteria to form. The clouds of nebulous mist escaping from the pool further add to the enhancement of the scene.

Comes in two different sizes, a straight fit black metal frame at 40 x 13.5 (115), or a double matted with glossy black frame at 44.5 x 17.5 (175). Print comes custom framed in a 1 3/4" wood moulding with a double, acid-free mat and Plexi. All framing is done in-house by our experienced framers using gallery-quality materials.
