Affectionately known as Smashville by Preds fans, Bridgestone Arena opened in December 1996 and has been the home of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators since 1998. Located in downtown Nashville, the arena design features a tower that houses the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau and a small theater. The facility holds 20,000 for concerts, 18,500 for basketball and 17,500 enthusiastic fans for ice hockey.
