Rexall Place was home to the Edmonton Oilers since 1974, when it was known as Northlands Coliseum. The entire Farewell Season featured "Once an Oiler, Always an Oiler" segments at every game. For the official closing ceremony, all Oilers were invited back to celebrate the rich history at Rexall Place, from their roots in the WHA, to the glory years of the 1980's Stanley Cup® dynasty teams where they rewrote the NHL® record books, to the modern era.
