The 2 1/4" width offers a substantial, elegant border, while the deep rabbet provides the necessary internal clearance to accommodate thick stretched canvas, dimensional panels, or multi-layered matting projects without bowing the backing.

  • Style Recommendations

    • For Stretched Canvas: The deep rabbet allows your canvas bars to sit comfortably inside the frame rim, preventing the artwork from protruding past the back plane of the frame.

    • For Standard Photography & Art Prints: If you choose to frame flat paper art, the generous depth leaves ample space to accent the image with dramatic double or triple-thick linen matboards.
