Since arriving in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have captured numerous division titles and Eastern Conference championships and, in 2006, they brought North Carolina its first major professional sports championship, capturing the coveted Stanley Cup®. The Hurricanes also hosted the NHL® All-Star Game in January 2011, with an estimated 138,000 fans taking part in the weekend's festivities.
